Burke & Herbert Bank Supports Potomac Nationals Baseball

WHAT:               Burke & Herbert Bank is in the game – the Potomac Nationals baseball games at Pfitzner Stadium in Woodbridge.  When a Potomac Nats designated player of the game hits an RBI – everyone in the stands gets a coupon for a $25 deposit to a new checking account at Burke & Herbert Bank at the new branch down the road!   This special offer for local baseball fans serves as a continuation of the Bank’s celebration of their new Reid’s Prospect branch.   The Bank hosted a Grand Slam baseball-themed event at their Reid’s Prospect location last month to celebrate the Bank’s 25^th branch which is located at 4605 Daisy Reid Avenue in Lake Ridge. 

                              This free family event featured pitching and batting games, prizes, face painting, hot dogs, popcorn and ice cream.  There was a special guest appearance from the Potomac Nationals mascot, Uncle Slam and player Ryan Demmin was on hand to sign autographs.  Some lucky participants entered the Burke & Herbert Bank World Series Money Machine where they grabbed cash and other rewards.  Bank mascot, Runyon, joined in the fun and posed for photos with kids and even posed with Uncle Slam! (see attached photo) The Bank also pitched in a “Play to Win” drawing for 4 tickets to the Washington Nationals vs. Miami Marlins on August 4, 2012.  Entries will be accepted in the Reid’s Prospect branch through July 13, 2012.  

                                              The Bank kicked-off the Reid’s Prospect branch opening celebrations in February with over 400 guests attending a Family Skate Night at Prince William Ice Center.   The Family Skate Night event, the Grand Slam Gathering in April and the partnership with the Potomac Nationals are demonstrations of the Bank’s ongoing commitment to the communities it serves.
