Armed Home Invasion In Woodbridge 'Does Not Appear To Be Random,' Police Say

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Two armed men wearing masks entered a home in Woodbridge on Sunday morning. Police said the suspects were looking for one of the home's occupants.

The incident occurred at a home in the 2800 block of Gloucester Court in Woodbridge around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. In its report, the Prince William County Police Department said that the incident does not appear to be random.

The residents told police that two armed and masked men entered the home through the unlocked front door, according to the police department's report. Once inside, the men entered an upstairs bedroom as they searched for a particular resident, police said.

The suspects were briefly in the home before they fled the area on foot. A police K-9 and a helicopter from the Fairfax County Police Department responded to the area to search for the suspects, who were not located.

The two suspects are described as Hispanic men who are about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and were wearing all-dark clothing.

Details were scarce in the police department's initial report, but authorities noted that the incident does not appear to be random.
