Armed Robberies, Carjackings Reported In Woodbridge: Police
Several armed robberies and carjacking were reported in Woodbridge over the weekend; no arrests have been made yet, police said.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — There were several attempted robberies and carjacking around Woodbridge over the weekend, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities are still looking for suspects in each of the incidents.
The first armed carjacking was reported to police around 2 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2. Officers responded to investigate the incident in the 1900 block of Gableridge Turn.
Police identified the victim as a 23-year-old woman. She told police that her car, a 2010 grey Mazda 3, was stolen by three unknown men.

Authorities claimed that the victim left her unsecured vehicle running in front of an apartment complex. As the victim returned to her car, she saw three men enter the vehicle, police said.
"When the victim confronted the men, one of them brandished a firearm towards her before fleeing the area in her vehicle," the police department wrote in their incident report.

The suspects are described as two Black men and one white man, each were carrying firearms. One of the Black men was wearing a black face mask and a red and white sweatshirt. The other Black suspect was wearing a dark sweatshirt, police said. The white suspect had a beard and a black sweatshirt.
Another attempted carjacking and shooting was reported around 4 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2 in the area of Summerland Drive and Gardenview Loop.
The victim, who police identified as a 42-year-old man, was driving in the area when he was flagged down by three unknown men, police said.
"During the encounter, one of the men brandished a firearm towards the victim and demanded his vehicle," the police department said. "The victim immediately fled the area while the armed suspect fired multiple rounds, striking the vehicle."
Later, the victim returned to the area and saw one of the suspects again. The suspect continued to drive and the suspect fired shots towards the vehicle, police said. The victim continued to his destination before contacting authorities. No injuries were reported, but the victim's vehicle was struck several times.
On Monday morning, two armed robberies were reported to the police department. Both armed robberies occurred between 12 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Oct. 4.
The first robbery, which took place on Potomac Mills Road, was reported to police just after midnight. A victim told police that he was behind a business in the area when a Kia Optima approached him.
Two men exited the vehicle. One of the men carried a gun while the other assaulted the victim and stole his property, police said. The victim reported minor injuries.
Another armed robbery occurred in the 12400 block of Dillingham Square, police said. Authorities claimed that a victim was in a parking lot when he was approached by three men who demanded his property.
"When the victim refused, a light-colored Chevrolet Suburban pulled up next to the group," authorities said. "The driver exited the vehicle brandishing a firearm, and at one point during the encounter, struck the victim in the face."
The suspect stole the victim's backpack, which contained a firearm, according to police. The victim went to a hospital to receive treatment for his injuries, where police were notified. The suspect was only described as a Black man wearing gray clothing and a black mask.
