Armed Robbery, Assault Reported In Woodbridge Parking Lot: Police
Police are investigating an assault and armed robbery that occurred at a parking lot on Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Police are investigating an armed robbery and assault that was reported in the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge on Monday morning.
The incident was reported to police around 12:45 a.m. on Monday, according to a report from the Prince William County Police Department.
The victim, a 28-year-old man, told police that he had been sitting in his car in a parking lot with a female acquaintance. A masked man then approached them and displayed a firearm, police said.

During the encounter, the masked man demanded money and property from the victim and his friend, according to the police report. At one point, the suspect struck the victim several times and grabbed him by the throat.
Eventually, the masked man fled the area in black Chevrolet sedan. The victim then left the area and contacted the police.

No injuries were reported during the incident. The victim said that cash and a phone were stolen during the robbery. The suspect is described as a Black man wearing a black mask, red jacket, and gloves.
