WOODBRIDGE, VA — A pair of boys were arrested in Woodbridge after an armed robbery at Veterans Park, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

The victim, a 17-year-old boy, did not report any injuries in the robbery, police said.

Authorities have not identified the suspects by name due to a Virginia law that protects the identities of minors. The police department said they are both 15-year-old boys from Woodbridge.

Both boys are charged with robbery, use of a firearm in commission of felony, and conspiracy to commit a felony. One boy is also charged with possession of a firearm by a juvenile.

The boys are being held at the Prince William County Juvenile Detention Center and their court dates are pending.

The robbery occurred around 6 p.m. on Wednesday at Veterans Park. The victim told police he was at the entrance of a footpath when the suspects approached him. One of the suspects pulled out a gun and they demanded the victim's property, police said.

The suspects ran away, and the victim contacted authorities. Police officers found two boys matching the suspect description nearby, and one of them had the gun that was used in the robbery, according to the police report.
