Assault With Bat Reported At Woodbridge High School: Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man hit a victim in the head with a baseball bat at Woodbridge High School on Saturday morning, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities have not been able to locate a suspect, who they identified as Justin Brian Trent of North Potomac, Maryland.

Officers responded to investigate the assault 8:52 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7. Authorities determined that two men met at Woodbridge High School on Saturday morning to work-out together.

The victim, who police identified as a 28-year-old man, arrived at the school first for the planned workout, police said. The victim identified Trent as his workout partner.

The victim said that he walked to Trent's car after he arrived at the school. Officers claimed that Trent then struck the victim in the head with a baseball bat.

"After striking the victim, the accused left the area," the Prince William County Police Department wrote in their daily incident report. "The victim reported the incident was unprovoked."

Meanwhile, the victim went to a nearby hospital to receive treatment. After he arrived at the hospital, the victim reported the assault to police. After their investigation, police officers obtained warrants for Trent's arrest. However, authorities have been unable to locate him.

Trent is described as a Black man who is 6 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing about 210 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, police said.

Trent, who is 21 years old, lives in the 13800 block of Grey Colt Dr in North Potomac, Maryland. He is wanted for malicious wounding. The police department did not publish a photo of Trent.
