Baby Snatcher Nabbed In Woodbridge: Police

A man who grabbed a 3-month-old from her mother's arms and tried to flee was later caught, according to Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man grabbed a 3-month-old baby girl from a female acquaintance's arms Sunday morning and tried to flee the area on foot before being detained in the 14100 block of Bay Vista Drive in Woodbridge, according to Prince William County Police. Rodney Andray Lynn, 34, of the 5300 block of Tessie Terrace in Alexandria was charged with abduction. He's being held without bond.

Around 6:45 p.m., officers responded to the scene for a report of an abduction. The caller, a 22-year-old Woodbridge woman, told police she was walking to her vehicle when she was approached by Lynn, who grabbed her infant daughter and took off while the victim followed him and called police.

Officers quickly located the accused with the child, who was unharmed and returned to her mother.
