Bank Robber Sought In Dumfries On Thursday Morning: Police
Breaking: Police officers are searching for a bank robber who stole money from a Truist Bank in Dumfries on Thursday morning.
DUMFRIES, VA — A man robbed a bank in Dumfries on Thursday morning, the Prince William County Police Department said in a report.
No injuries were reported in the robbery, and none of the witnesses saw a weapon, authorities said.
The police department described the suspect as a Black man with a medium build who was about 5 feet, 10 inches tall. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a white construction hat and a gray zip up shirt.

The robbery occurred at the Truist Bank on River Ridge Boulevard. Investigators said the robber passed a note to the teller before leaving the bank with cash.
The police department told residents to expect a large police presence as they investigate the robbery.

A similar bank robbery occurred at the TD Bank in Dumfries on Friday afternoon. Authorities have not said whether the two robberies could be connected.
