Update: Police Release Description Of Woodbridge Bank Robber

Authorities said the person who robbed a bank in Woodbridge on Wednesday was a man in his 30s. The suspect is still at large, police said.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A suspect robbed the M&T Bank on Hedges Run Drive in Woodbridge on Wednesday afternoon, according to a report from the Prince William County Police Department.

The police department issued an alert around 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Authorities said the robber entered the bank, jumped over the counter, and demanded money from the registers.

Police said the robber ran out of the bank with the money. They also noted that no weapon was used or implied in the robbery.

In its report, the police department said the man was in his 30s and had a thin build. He was between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall. Authorities were not able to identify his race or ethnicity.

At the time of the bank robbery, the suspect was wearing a dark green hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, sunglasses, a light-colored mask, black gloves, blue jeans, and dark colored shoes with a hexagon pattern on the side.

A police K-9 searched the area on Wednesday, but they were not able to locate the suspect.
