WOODBRIDGE, VA—Authorities have identified the man who assaulted a PRTC bus driver last month in the area of Minnieville Road and Prince William Parkway, according to Prince William County Police.
Andre Jon Richardson, 30, of no fixed address, is described as black, 6-3, 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He's wanted for malicious wounding and destruction of property.
On Sept. 11, police responded to the scene for a reported assault. The bus driver, a 55-year-old man, said while driving a Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission vehicle, he saw an unknown man running beside the bus. When the bus stopped because of traffic, the man began banging on the door and demanding it be opened.

When the driver refused, the man stood in front of the bus to prevent it from moving. He then returned to the side of the bus and kicked out a lower window on the door. That let him reach inside and open the door, after which he boarded the bus and sprayed the driver with an unknown substance.
He then got off and fled the area on foot. The driver suffered minor injuries. Police, along with a K-9 unit, searched the area but came up empty. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-792-6500.
