In Custody: Murder Suspect Surrenders to Police

Second suspect turned himself in to Prince William County Police on charges in a fatal stabbing earlier this month.

The second suspect has surrendered to police in the fatal stabbing of a Woodbridge man found on a strangerโ€™s front steps earlier this month.

Byron Alan King, 30, of the 2700 block of Beechtree Ln in Woodbridge, is charged with murder.

The victim, Gilbert Kinard, was found in 15200 block of Brazil Circle in Woodbridge on Nov. 1.

Investigators believe he was in an overnight confrontation with King and another suspect, Lamar Lewis, in the area of Bronco Way and Benita Fitzgerald Drive.

After Kinard was stabbed in the upper body, he fled the area and fell to the ground on the steps of a strangerโ€™s townhome. He was found by a neighbor walking his dog after dawn.

Lewis was located last week by a U.S. Marshalsโ€™ Fugitive Task Force outside of Atlanta.
