TRIANGLE, VA — A drive-by shooting injured a woman in Triangle on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

The victim, a 58-year-old woman, received treatment at a hospital. Her injuries were not life-threatening, authorities said.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. No suspect description was available on Thursday.

The police department noted that the shooter drove away in a dark-colored sedan.

The shooting occurred around 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday in the 3500 block of Wharf Lane in Triangle. Investigators said someone fired several shots from the sedan before driving away.

When police officers arrived, they provided first aid to the victim until an ambulance arrived. The police department said gunshots also struck the victim's home and four parked cars in the area.
