DUMFRIES, VA — The driver involved in a car crash that killed a 33-year-old Woodbridge woman and a 5-year-old girl Wednesday has been charged with manslaughter, according to Prince William County police.

Mustafa Nofel Aljazairi, 33, of Stafford, is charged with two counts of manslaughter and one count of malicious wounding after police said he intentionally drove his 2007 Chrysler 300 into oncoming traffic near the intersection of Dumfries Road and Fortuna Center Plaza.

According to police, Aljazairi and Dorothy Anne Fontain of Woodbridge, a passenger in Aljazairi's vehicle, were arguing when the crash occurred. Aljazairi then struck a Chevy Suburban driving in the opposite direction, according to police.

An investigation revealed neither Aljazairi nor Fontain were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The child, who was also a passenger in Aljazairi's car, also was not properly restrained, police said.

Fontain and the 5-year-old died at an area hospital after the crash. Aljazairi also sustained serious injuries, police said.

Aljazairi currently is being held without bond, police said. A court date is pending.
