Driver Charged in Motorcycle Fatality in Woodbridge: Police
69-year-old man failed to yield the right-of-way while turning left, and the approaching motorcyclist slammed into his vehicle.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — The driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal collision with a motorcycle Oct. 25 has been determined to have been responsible for the accident, according to Prince William County Police.
Charles James Allen, 69, of the 14100 block of Regent Court, was charged with failure to yield the right-of-way on a left turn and was issued a court summons.
Police say the crash, which occurred at Minnieville Road and Chesire Station Plaza, was caused when Allen failed to yield to the passing motorcycle while trying to make a left turn.

John R. Bachman, 52, of Woodbridge, was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.
Around 7:30 a.m., police responded to the scene and found that Bachman, driving a 2004 Suzuki GSX-R750 was traveling north on Minnieville while Allen, the driver of a 2015 Honda Accord was traveling south. Allen tried to turn left into Chesire Station and was hit by Bachman's motorcycle.

Allen wasn't injured and remained at the scene.
