PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Last week, a driver convicted a jury in connection with a crash on Valentine's Day in 2022 that left one person dead, the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney said.

The crash occurred on Feb. 14, 2022 on Richmond Highway, authorities said. The crash involved four vehicles, including Cabrera Martinez's white Jeep.
"Electronic data from the Defendant’s vehicle revealed that the Defendant had been operating his vehicle up to 84 miles an hour in a posted 35 mph construction zone seconds prior to the crash," the office of the commonwealth's attorney said. "Investigation revealed that the Defendant, who was operating the white Jeep without an operator’s license, swerved to avoid another vehicle that had partially turned into his travel lane, when he struck the vehicle that Mr. John Angevine was operating that morning."
When Cabrera Martinez is sentenced in September, Angevine's family will be present to deliver testimony about how the fatal crash has impacted them.
