Update: Dumfries Homicide Victim Identified By Police

DUMFRIES, VA — Authorities have identified the victim who was found shot to death in a vehicle in Dumfries on Saturday morning.

The Prince William County Police Department said 44-year-old Demetrious Lavar Graham died after he was struck by gunfire.

Authorities have not identified any possible suspects in the shooting.

Just after 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, officers were called to the area of Williamstown and Old Triangle roads after multiple people reported hearing gunshots. When officers arrived, they found a car near Morgan Court that was struck by gunfire, police said.

Officers found a man inside the car with gunshot injuries, police said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A police K-9 searched the area and found no one else nearby, police said.
