Dumfries Woman Flown To Hospital With Gunshot Injuries: Police
A woman shot in her Dumfries home early Thursday morning was flown to an area hospital. The 23-year-old is expected to survive the shooting.
DUMFRIES, VA — A woman who was shot in her Dumfries home early Thursday morning was flown to an area hospital, where her injuries were determined to be non-life threatening, Prince William County Police said Thursday.
At about 1:20 a.m. on Thursday, Prince William County police officers went to a residence in the 1800 block of Fort Pulaski Court in Dumfries to investigate the shooting.
Police learned that a woman, 23, was inside her home when shots were fired from a parking lot near the home. The woman was struck in the lower body.

The shooter may have left the scene in a dark-colored sedan, police said. Other residents who live in the home were not cooperative with detectives, police said.
Multiple shell casings were found on scene. The police do not believe the shooting was random.
