Pecha Kucha Night (PKN) is an evening of presentations from people sharing their passions and ideas in front of an audience, within the Pecha Kucha format:
- 20 slides, 20 seconds each. That's 6 minutes and 40 seconds per presentation.
- Still images or video
- Any subject
PKN was devised by two Tokyo-based architects, Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham, as a place for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public and has spread globally to more than 170 cities. Pecha Kucha, is Japanese for the "sound of conversation" (pronounced Peh Chach Ka). Admission is free; there will be refreshments for sale.
