Family Launches GoFundMe For Woodbridge Stabbing Victims
After an 8-year-old girl and her mother were stabbed multiple times, family is asking for donations to help them rebuild their lives.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — After an 8-year-old girl and her mother were stabbed multiple times in their Woodbridge apartment last week, family members have launched a GoFundMe to help them not only pay for medical expenses, but to rebuild their lives, according to the fundraiser.
On Oct. 18, Javier Mauricio Molina was arrested on charges of aggravated malicious wounding after he allegedly stabbed his 8-year-old daughter and her mother multiple times. When officers arrived at the Dominion Middle Ridge apartments in the 3600 block of Meandering Way, they saw Molina carrying the girl down the stairs of the apartment building. Police also said they saw Molina place the girl on the ground before hitting her several times.
Following Molina's arrest, officers discovered the girl was stabbed several times. They also found a 25-year-old woman, identified as the girl's mother, inside the family's apartment, also suffering from multiple stab wounds. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment of serious, life-threatening injuries.

According to the GoFundMe page, 8-year-old Kaylie and her mother, Stefani, are now in stable condition but have a long road ahead of them.
"It will be a long time before (Stefani) is well enough to return to work. For obvious reasons they will not be able to return to their home, and will have to rebuild their lives on top of the overwhelming medical expenses," the page reads. "We are so incredibly grateful for the support our family has received. Many have been asking how they can help, so I thought it would be best to channel all this pain and energy into something good for them. Every little bit helps."
