DUMFRIES, VA—The Dumfries man killed in a hit-and-run incident Tuesday on Fraley Boulevard, Alvin Smith, 40, may have been struck by two separate vehicles, Prince William County Police said Thursday following an autopsy Wednesday. Parts of a vehicle recovered from the scene have indicated that one of the vehicles possibly involved was a 2014-2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee, as well as the blue vehicle already reported.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, a county park ranger was headed north on Fraley Boulevard near Graham Park Road when the ranger saw a man lying in the middle of the road. The ranger pulled to the side of the road to check on the man when a man in a northbound blue vehicle hit the pedestrian.

A man driving the blue vehicle briefly stopped before continuing onward. He's described as white and in his mid 30s. Smith was not near a designated crosswalk when he was seen lying in the road. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call police at 703-792-6500.
