Fatal Shooting Reported In Woodbridge On Thursday Night: Police
One person died after a shooting along Route 1 in Woodbridge on Thursday night, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — One person died after a shooting on Thursday night along Route 1 in Woodbridge, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Investigators believe the shooting was not random.
Authorities identified the victim as 18-year-old Milton Humberto Escalante Escobar of Woodbridge.
The police department has not identified any potential suspects in the shooting. Investigators do not have a physical description of any suspects either.

The shooting occurred around 10:20 p.m. on Thursday in the 13900 block of Route 1 in Woodbridge. Officers found one person in a business's parking lot providing first aid to the victim who was suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers began providing first aid until emergency medical personnel arrived and took the victim to a hospital, authorities said. Escalante Escobar died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.

Investigators believe someone fired gunshots in the woods behind the business, striking Escalante Escobar. A vehicle drove away after the shooting, according to the police report.
