Flash Flood Watch Begins Overnight in Woodbridge

The heavy rains are expected to arrive in Ashburn and Northern Virginia by Saturday morning.

Thunderstorms are also expected, with 1 to 3 inches of rain likely by the time the front moves on Saturday night, according to the NWS.
“Potential exists for flash flooding to occur on small streams, creeks and urban areas,” states the NWS. “Significant rises are also likely on main stem rivers such as the Potomac and the Shenandoah rivers.”
