Floor and Decor at Potomac Mills Grand Opening July 3

Shoppers at Potomac Mills will have a new shopping destination for floor and tile needs, with Floor and Decor hosting its grand opening celebration July 3 at 14041 Worth Avenue. 

Floor and Decor is hiring for several positions at the Woodbridge location.

The long-vacant Incredible Universe building is seeing its first use since General Dynamics closed its operations in the building in Sept. 2012.

In announcing the lease this spring, Next Realty Mid-Atlantic President George Galloway noted demand is up for large retail spaces, according to dc.citybizlist.com.

"The market has rebounded, and we will continue to see retailers like Floor & Decor needing more large format space in certain markets in the D.C.-Baltimore area," he said.

And Floor and Decor is not alone. Last month, outdoor specialty store Gander Mountain announced it was opening in another part of the same building later this year, with an expectation of creating 70 jobs.
