Fox In Woodbridge Pauses As Garbage Truck, School Bus Approach
Video as seen on Neighbors app shows a fox stopping in a Woodbridge driveway to assess the loud traffic noise.

WOODBRIDGE, VA —As a garbage truck was coming down one street and a school bus was nearing from a different direction, a fox stopped in a driveway to assess the situation in an area of Woodbridge near Kenwood Drive. On the morning of Friday, Jan. 10, Woodbridge homeowners had video to prove that a healthy-looking fox was in their neighhorbood after a Neighbors by Ring camera caught the animal passing through their front yard.
The fox ran through the front yard and then stopped in the home's driveway. Noise from large vehicles can be heard coming from different directions. Upon hearing and seeing these potential threats getting closer, the fox took off into a neighbor's yard to avoid any confrontation.
"Please watch for your little cats or dogs you leave outside," the homeowner with the Neighbors by Ring camera said. "Otherwise, leave my little buddy alone ... he's just going out for a morning stroll."

With the increased daytime sighting, wildlife experts have stayed busy dismissing the myth that a daytime fox sighting could mean the animal is rabid. The fox may have many mouths to feed, which could mean the fox needs to go on hunting trips during both daylight and nighttime hours, according to experts.
"A fox cutting through your yard is probably just passing through on their way between hunting areas and no action is necessary on your part," the Humane Society of the United States says in an information sheet on foxes.
