Frenzied Man Attacks Cops At Gold's Gym: Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man is being held without bond after assaulting two officers Friday night at Gold's Gym, 13957 Jefferson Davis Highway, according to Prince William County Police. Vito Caldarella, 53, of no fixed address, was charged with two counts of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, one count of trespassing and one count of obstruction of justice.

Around 6:30 p.m., police went to the gym for a trespassing complaint. After arriving, they were told the man had been told to leave earlier but later returned, prompting the call to the cops. He was questioned but refused to answer questions.

So they tried to arrest him, and he then lunged at them and wrapped his arms around their necks. After a struggle, he finally was detained and taken to jail.
