Man Charged In Girl’s Abduction, Rape On Way To School UPDATE

UPDATE: Authorities have found a man who sexually assaulted a girl Tuesday morning on Cumberland Drive: PWC Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—Authorities have arrested a man who raped an 11-year-old girl Tuesday morning on Cumberland Drive and also assaulted a woman, according to Prince William County Police. Adam-Seth Nathaneal Walter, 26, was charged with one count of abduction with intent to defile, one count of rape, two counts of sodomy, one count of aggravated sexual battery and one count of indecent liberties.

Regarding his assault of a 34-year-old woman, he was charged with one count of abduction, one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, one count of robbery, one count of burglary with intent to commit larceny, one count of malicious wounding and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted violent felon.

Around 8:15 a.m., police went to the 14200 block of Essex Drive for a reported abduction. A girl was walking to school along Essex Drive near Radford Drive when an unknown man approached her, grabbed her and implied he had a weapon.

The 34-year-old woman was standing in front of her home and saw what was happening, after which Walter approached her and repeatedly hit her before forcing her and the girl inside the home. When another person in the house attempted to intervene, Walter fled with the girl.

He took her to a location on Cumberland Drive where he sexually assaulted her before releasing the girl and fleeing on foot. The girl was found shortly afterward when she approached an officer searching the area. Both the girl and the witness were taken to an area hospital.

Walter was found while police were on an unrelated investigation. He's being held without bond.
