The home invasion occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the 13600 block of Lynn Street in Woodbridge, police said. Through their investigation, officers determined that the suspect, who was later identified as Orange, entered the home through an unlocked back door.

Once he was inside, the man confronted two people who lived in the home, including a 19-year-old woman that he knew, according to the police report. He pulled a BB gun from his waistband, and one of the residents ran out of the home.

The 19-year-old woman was unable to escape at first, as the man physically prevented her from leaving, the police department said. She was eventually able to escape.

Later, the man walked out the back door, where officers took him into custody.
