WOODBRIDGE, VA — Incumbent state Sen. Jeremy McPike declared victory in the Democratic primary in Virginia's 29th district. His challenger, Elizabeth Guzman, conceded over the weekend.

McPike will face either Nikki Baldwin or Maria Martin in the general election in November. The Republican primary between Baldwin and Martin is still too close to call.

On social media, McPike said he looks forward to continuing to represent the 29th district, which includes eastern Prince William County and part of Stafford County.
