Literacy Volunteers of America Tutor Training Workshop

Literacy Volunteers of America-Prince William is looking for
adults who are passionate about education and literacy to work with adults in
the Prince William County area helping them achieve their life goals through
increased literacy skills. Much of our work focuses on a classroom environment,
but there are also some 1:1 tutoring opportunities. We ask that tutors be able
to commit to the program for at least six months and meet once a week for 1.5-2
hours with a class group or student.

The training involves a two day
workshop with the second day being held on October 4 from 9 am to 12 noon. Both
days are required.
