Man Busted For Filming Woman In Walmart Restroom: PWC Police

A man wanted for filming a woman in a Walmart restroom earlier this month in Dumfries has been arrested: Prince William County Police.

DUMFRIES, VA—A man wanted for filming a woman in a Walmart restroom earlier this month at 17041 Jefferson Davis Highway was arrested last Thursday, according to Prince William County Police. Christopher Erik Halverson, 27, of the 4000 block of Brady's Hill Road in Dumfries, was charged with unlawful filming and peeping.

The arrest stemmed from a Sept. 20 incident during which police said a man slid a cell phone under a restroom stall to take pictures of a woman in Walmart. Around 4:30 p.m., a 22-year-old was using the restroom when she saw "an unknown man slip a cell phone underneath the stall door and possibly record or photograph her."

She immediately ran out of the restroom and told a store employee. Police were contacted and searched the area to no avail.
