Man Killed In High-Speed Crash In Woodbridge: Police
Police said the 23-year-old Woodbridge man died in a crash Wednesday near Minnieville Road and Hedgewood Drive.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A 23-year-old man died after he was involved in a high-speed crash on a Woodbridge road Wednesday, according to police.
Prince William County police said the crash happened around 7:35 p.m. at Minnieville Road and Hedgewood Drive in Woodbridge. According to police, the drivers of a 2011 BMW 535 and a 2014 Nissan 370 Z were traveling south on Minnieville Road at a high rate of speed when the driver of the Nissan attempted an aggressive maneuver to pass a truck.
According to police, the driver of the Nissan lost control of the car and struck the driver's side of the BMW. The impact caused both vehicles to leave the road, where the Nissan struck a telephone pole. Police said the BMW entered an embankment before becoming airborne and striking a tree.

Police said the driver of the BMW — identified as Juan Jose Bonilla Bonilla of Woodbridge — was not wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver of the Nissan — an 18-year-old Woodbridge man — was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
