Man Offered Middle Schoolers Money To Get In His Car: Police

Police are investigating reports that a man in a silver Subaru Forester offered middle school girls money if they got in his car.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man attempted to lure multiple middle school girls into his car near Rippon Middle School, according to authorities. The Prince William County Police Department is looking for the man, and anyone else who may have more information about the incidents.

Police began investing a series of "suspicious incidents" on Thursday, Sept. 30. Multiple girls from Rippon Middle School reported similar interactions with a man in a silver Subaru Forester.

"The man offered them money to get into his vehicle," the Prince William County Police Department said. "The man approached the juveniles by pulling alongside them as they walked to and from school during the morning and afternoon hours."

None of the girls accepted the man's offer, police said. There was also no physical contact between the man and any of the girls.

Now, detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying the man.

The driver of the Subaru is described as a Hispanic man between 30 and 36 years old. He has a heavy build and long black hair in a pony tail, police said. He also had glasses and a scruffy beard. He may have tattoos on his left arm. He was last seen wearing a bright orange shirt.
