Man Pretends To Be Cop, Flashes Gun In Woodbridge: Police

A man was arrested after waving a gun and pretending to be a cop during a road rage incident Sunday in Woodbridge: PWC Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A man was arrested after waving a gun and pretending to be a cop during a road rage incident Sunday in the 14400 block of Jefferson Davis Highway, according to Prince William County Police. Robert Dean Thomas, 25, of the 14300 block of Franklin Street in Woodbridge, was charged with brandishing a firearm and impersonating a law enforcement officer.

Around 12:30 p.m., police began investigating the incident and found that it began as a case of road rage in the parking lot of a nearby business. They said Thomas then found out where the victim worked and went there shortly afterward claiming to be an off-duty Prince William County cop and demanding that the victim be reprimanded.

The victim called police, they responded and Thomas was arrested without incident.
