Man Robbed ABC Store, Threatened Employee With Knife: Police Say
An ABC store on Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge was robbed and an employee was threatened on Wednesday, according to authorities.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — The ABC store on Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge was robbed on Wednesday night, according to a report from the Prince William County Police Department. Dominic Vincent Carter, a 29-year-old man, was arrested and charged in connection with the robbery.
The incident was reported to authorities around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, according to a police report. A store employee told police that an unknown man had entered the business and selected two bottles of liquor.
He then proceeded to the exit without paying, and an employee confronted him, police said. Authorities claimed that the man made a fist and lunged towards the employee before continuing to exit the store.

After he walked out of the store, the man pulled out a knife and threatened the employee, according to the police report. He then fled the area.
No injuries were reported during the incident.

Later, an officer said that he saw a man matching the suspect's description in the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Mount Pleasant Drive. The man was in possession of a bottle of liquor that was reported stolen during the robbery, police said.
After detaining the suspect, the officer also claimed to find a knife in the man's possession.
The man, who police identified as Dominic Vincent Carter, was arrested and charged with one count of robbery. His court date is pending, and he is being held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center.
