TRIANGLE, VA — Police are looking for a man who grabbed a woman by the neck and slammed her head into a dashboard in Triangle on Tuesday.

The victim reported minor injuries in the assault, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

Authorities have not been able to identify the suspect by name. They said he is a white man with short brown hair who is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He is about 40 years old, the police department said.

The assault occurred around 8 p.m. on Tuesday on Inn Street in Triangle. The victim told police that she was driving with a man when they started arguing. When the argument escalated, the man stopped the vehicle and grabbed the woman by the neck, authorities said.

The victim said she planned to call 911. The man responded by taking her phone and continuing to drive, according to the police report.

The pair eventually started arguing again while driving on Dumfries Road. This time, the man slammed the victim's head into the dashboard, investigators said.

The man drove to a nearby business and the victim got out of the vehicle. He then drove away, according to the police department.
