Man Who Left Toddler In Dumfries Hotel Room Arrested: Police
Tyree Rashad Henderson, 23, is facing several felony charges after he allegedly left a 3-year-old in a hotel room before fleeing police.

DUMFRIES, VA — Prince William County police arrested a man who they say left a toddler alone in a Dumfries hotel room before fleeing from police. Tyree Rashad Henderson, 23, was arrested Oct. 20 and is facing multiple felony charges, including child endangerment.
According to a report, detectives from the Special Investigations Bureau were in the 16900 block of Old Stage Rd. on Oct. 8 when they spotted a suspicious vehicle in a nearby parking lot. Detectives approached the vehicle and identified themselves as police to the driver, the report said, but at that point, the driver — later identified as Henderson — disregarded the detective's commands and tried to flee, hitting a detective's car in the process.
Detectives eventually located the Henderson's vehicle unoccupied. Following further investigation, detectives also learned Henderson allegedly left a 3-year-old boy alone in a nearby hotel. Detectives found the child, who was not related to the suspect, unharmed and he was later returned to his mother.
