DALE CITY, VA — A Dale City animal hospital was burglarized early Monday morning, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

Just before 1 a.m. Monday, police officers went to the Maple Shade Animal Hospital at 5597 Mapledale Plz. in Dale City to investigate an alarm activation. Upon arriving at the location, officers determined there were no signs of forced entry into the business and the doors were secure.

But while checking the business, the owner reported someone had tampered with the cash register. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing from the register, according to the police.
