Motorist Dies in Head-On Collision on Dumfries Road
Chantilly man injured in midnight crash: Prince William County police.

A young motorist from Dumfries was killed in a head-on collision shortly after midnight Thursday on Route 234 north of the interchange with Interstate 95.
Malcolm Harold McGuire, 19, was driving south on Route 234 (Dumfries Road) in a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo when the car apparently veered into the northbound lanes and hit a 2008 Mercedes S550. McGuire was pronounced dead at the scene, the Prince William County police said.

The other driver, a 56-year-old Chantilly man, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene, police said.

Crash investigators with the Prince William police responded at 12:17 a.m. Friday to the scene of the collision, at Dumfries Road and Talon Drive, according to a police report. Speed, alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the crash, the police said.
This is the second fatal crash of the year in Prince William County, the police said.
