WOODBRIDGE, VA—A Prince William County Grand Jury has returned multiple indictments against a man already arrested for aggravated malicious wounding in the March 3 shooting death of 25-year-old Daniel James Gilliam of Woodbridge.

Markus Sean-Thurman Dean, 23 of the 60 block of Gardens Drive in Alexandria, was indicted on murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He remains in jail at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center.

Shortly after 12:30 a.m. on March 3, police responded to the area of Rippon Boulevard and Jefferson Davis Highway for a reported shooting. They found that while in a nearby parking lot, Dean and Gilliam were in an argument that escalated, during which the latter was shot. Dean then fled on foot but, based on a description by witnesses, was found nearby and arrested without incident.
