Victim Identified In Woodbridge Murder Investigation: Update

A 25-year-old man was killed early Thursday morning in the area of Bel Air and Jeffries roads, according to Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Prince William County police have identified the victim in an early-morning homicide that happened in Woodbridge Thursday. Officers responded to the area of Bel Air and Jeffries roads just after 1 a.m. and found Eric Lanier Tate II, 25, of Woodbridge, suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. Tate was pronounced dead at the scene.

Prince William County police are still searching for a suspect in connection with the murder. Detectives are working to uncover more details that led to the shooting, and no potential suspect has been identified, police said.
