Pair Of Domestic Assaults Lead To Arrests In Woodbridge: Police
Two people were arrested on Sunday and Monday in Woodbridge after they were accused of assaulting people in separate domestic incidents.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Two arrests were made after separate "domestic-related" violence incidents in Woodbridge on Sunday and Monday, the Prince William County Police Department said. The two Woodbridge residents accused in the unrelated assaults are being held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center.
The first incident was reported to authorities around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. Officers said they responed to the 4000 block of Tarpon Lane in Woodbridge.
When they arrived on the scene, officers found a victim, who they identified as a 20-year-old man, with a severe laceration to his head. During their investigation, authorities determined that the victim was involved in an argument with an acquaintance, who they identified as Kaitlyn Alessandra Lassiter.

Police claimed that as the argument escalated, Lassiter threw a glass object at the victim's head. The victim then left the area, where he encountered officers, according to the police report. He was taken to a hospital, and his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Lassiter was taken into custody without incident and charged with one count of malicious wounding.

Another domestic incident was reported to authorities around 5 p.m. on Monday. At that time, officers responded to the 4700 block of Hendrick Lane in Woodbridge.
There, a victim, who police identified as a 23-year-old woman, told officers that she had an argument with a family member that escalated. During the argument, the family member prevented the victim from leaving the room, police said.
The family member also grabbed the victim's wrist and twisted it before throwing her on a bed, according to the police report. When the family member eventually allowed the victim to leave the room, she fled to a neighbor's home to contact police.
The family member was identified as Matthew Adam Rivas. He was charged with one count of abduction and one count of domestic assault and battery.
