Police Arrest Suspect After Triangle House Burns Down
Monday blaze that left six others homeless is suspicious, says Prince William Fire Dept.

Prince William County police arrested an unidentified resident of a house in Triangle after the structure was destroyed Monday in an early morning fire.
Firefighters were dispatched at 4:46 a.m. to the two-story house in the 4400 block of Forestburg Lane, according to the county’s Department of Fire & Rescue (DFR). On arrival, they spotted the fire on the second floor extending into the attic.
Once ensuring the residents were out of the house, the team of professional and volunteer firefighters brought the blaze under control within 33 minutes, according to a DFR statement.
The fire was quickly identified as suspicious in nature, DFR said, and the Prince William County Fire Marshal’s Office was brought in to investigate.
As the investigation began, the police took a person into custody in the area for an initially unrelated call. The police and fire marshal shared their information, and the individual was arrested for the intentional setting of a fire in an occupied dwelling, by an occupant of the home, the DFR said.
Additional charges were pending Tuesday and more information on the arrest will be forthcoming, the fire department said. The Prince William Chapter of the American Red Cross was brought in to assist the six adults who also lived in the house.
