Police: Dumfries Woman, 61, Cut Man With Knife During Argument

53-year-old victim treated at local hospital, say Prince William County police.

A 61-year-old Dumfries woman is behind bars after cutting a man with a knife during an argument Thursday morning, according to the Prince William County police.

Sharon Roxanne Tucker, of the 3100 block of Chesapeake Drive in Dumfries, has been charged with malicious wounding, a police report stated. She’s being held without bond at the Prince William-Manassas regional jail, and her next date in court is pending.

Police responded at 10:52 a.m. Thursday to investigate an assault at an apartment on Chesapeake Drive in Dumfries, according to the police report. The victim, a 53-year-old Dumfries man, told police that he and Tucker, an acquaintance, were involved in an argumenbt that escalated. Tucker then allegedly grabbed a knife and cut the victim on his face and wrist, the police said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and Tucker was arrested at the scene, police said.
