Police: Woodbridge Shooting Suspect Is At Large

18-year-old fired shots at three in vehicle, say Prince William County police.

A local teenager is wanted by police for shooting at three people in a moving vehicle Thursday afternoon on a Woodbridge street. There were no injuries reported in the incident.

The Prince William County police obtained warrants Thursday for the arrest of Ron Orlando Elliott, 18, on three counts of attempted malicious wounding and one count of reckless handling of a firearm, according to a police report. He’s described as a black man, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 170 pounbds with black hair and brown eyes.

Attempts to locate Elliott have been unsuccessful, the police said Friday. His last known address is 2317 Battery Hill Circle in Woodbridge.

The police responded to the shooting at 3:22 p.m. Thursday in the area of Old Coach Road and Rippon Boulevard in Woodbridge. The victims, a 22-year-old man, a 21-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl, told police they were traveling in a vehicle in the area of Old Coach Road. They were followed by a vehicle carrying Elliott, who is known to one of the victims, and three other unknown individuals, the police said.

The three victims said they heard numerous gunshots directed towards their vehicle. They escaped injury, however, and their vehicle was not damaged.

In searching the area, the police said they found numerous shell casings.
