Police Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Crash In Triangle

Police said a 67-year-old Woodbridge woman was crossing the street in a crosswalk when she was struck by a car driven by a 16-year-old girl.

TRIANGLE, VA — Prince William County police are investigating a crash that killed a Woodbridge woman just before 7 a.m. this morning. Police say Zorka Vesovic, 67, was crossing the street in a crosswalk when she was struck by a car driven by a 16-year-old female.

The crash happened in the 3600 block of Graham Park Road in Triangle. Preliminary investigation determined that the driver of a 2010 Hyundai Sonata was traveling west on Graham Park Road when the vehicle struck Vesovic.

Vesovic was transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene, and no other injuries were reported.

The investigation into the crash continues, police said.
