The Prince William police on Thursday arrested David Andrae Davis, 34, and charged him with taking indecent liberties with a child and use of a communications device to solicit offenses involving children, according to a police report. He’s being held without bond at the Prince William-Manassas regional jail, and his next date in court is pending.
Davis’s alleged wireless activities were first reported to the Metro Transit Police Department, which launched an internal investigation and notified the FBI. The Prince William County police said Thursday that they eventually took over the investigation.

Davis was arrested after detectives from the Prince William County Police Department’s Special Victims Bureau executed a search warrant at his home at 1813 Wigglesworth Way in Woodbridge, the police report stated.
While investigating Davis, the detectives found that between May and June, he had used a cell phone application called TangoMe to correspond with the victim, identified as a 16-year-old female juvenile who lives in Philadelphia. During those conversations, Davis allegedly exposed himself and solicited inappropriate images from the victim, the police said.
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority released this statement Thursday about the Davis case: “We hold officers to the highest standards and take seriously any allegation of misconduct. Given the deeply disturbing nature of the charges, the employee involved has been suspended without pay effective immediately.”
