Police: Overnight Shooting on Dale Boulevard

Prince William County Police are investigating a shooting overnight.

The incident likely occurred at 2 a.m. in the 4300 block of Dale Blvd. Police was not notified of the incident until 5:30 a.m. and were on the scene as of 10:45 a.m., according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

“The victim, an adult male, sustained a gunshot wound and is being treated at an area hospital,” he said in a statement.

Preliminary investigation revealed that this may have been a fight which escalated, Perok said.

There is no suspect information at this time.
