Police officers responded to the scene of the fight at 11:35 p.m. in the 15100 block of Farm Creek Drive in Woodbridge, the police report said. The victim, a 42-year-old Dumfries man, told them that he and Jackson, an acquaintance, had gotten into a verbal altercation that escalated.
Jackson then allegedly cut the victim on the arm with a knife, the police said. He left the scene before officers arrived, and the victim was treated at the scene. A short time later, Jackson was located and detained without incident.
