Police: Two Suspects At Large After Friday Night Robbery

Prince William County police are searching for two men who were allegedly involved in a strong-armed robbery on Friday night in Woodbridge, while a third suspect is behind bars.

Police on Friday arrested Kevin Nathaniel Gardner Jr., 31, in Gainesville, and charged him with robbery, according to a police report. He’s being held without bond in the Prince William-Manassas Regional Jail, and his court date is pending.
The police said they are continuing to investigate this incident to identify the remaining two suspects.

At 7:45 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the Inns of Virginia in Woodbridge to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 22-year-old Woodbridge man, told police he was approached by Gardner and two other unknown suspects who demanded money, the police report said.
As the victim began to walk away after voluntarily giving the accused some money, Gardner physically assaulted him, police said. During the assault, Gardner allegedly took more money from the victim’s pocket while one of the other suspects took the victim’s cell phone and shoes.
Upon further investigation, Gardner was located and arrested without incident, police said. No injuries were reported.
