Prince William County Police Investigate Fatal Manassas Crash
Prince William County Police are investigating after a fatal crash in Manassas on Sunday.
MANASSAS, VA – Prince William County Police are investigating after a fatal crash in Manassas on Sunday.
On May 24 just after 5 a.m., Prince William County Police investigated a single car crash in the area of Davis Ford Road near Yates Ford Road.
According to police, the driver of a 2006 GMC Sierra attempted to make a right turn onto Yates Ford Road when the car left the road and hit a tree.

The driver was transported to a local hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries from the crash later that day, police said. Police have identified the driver as Dementrius Lamar Whitehead, 29, of Woodbridge.
Alcohol and drug use are not believed to be factors in the crash, according to police. Speed is believed to have factored into the crash.
